Heading out on the Routeburn Track - Nik and I spend three days of hiking in the Rainforest and sub-alpine ecosystems. As you might expect, there was a light rain to send us off properly.

On the bus ride to the trailhead, I saw my first ever full-on end-to-end rainbow blazing across a lake with a mountain range as the backdrop. It was incredible. [Interestingly enough, I have now seen 5 end-to-end rainbows to date. They were seen in New Zealand, Australia (2), Belgium, and Washington, D.C. I suppose that I must be looking up more often.]
