Anchorage, Alaska - You never know who, or what, you may run into while bicycling in Alaska, even in a large city like Anchorage. Of course, you must be wary of lone moose calves because their mother is sure to be nearby. A moose cow is notoriously protective of her young. We kept a close eye on the mother up the path and in the woods while we quickly photographed the calves. Moose in Dutch is "eland".
